A good news: you can visit the Palace of Sans Souci, near Berlin,Germany without taking off your shoes anymore!

Another good news: you can visit Dubai and hire a car to the airport without showing an international driving license anymore. A local/national driving license will be enough.

Hotel Burj Al Arab in Dubai

A very good news: if you are 60, or even 80 and think sometimes you are not green anymore, unfit for travel, you should reconsider! In Sweden was calculated the age of the oldest tree worldwide, and it is 10 000 years! Unbelievable! The america sequoia, considered up today to be the oldest, seems to be so young with its 5000 years! If they only could speak!

madonna to win 100 000 euros in every second during its concerts in Dubai. I hope she will so something for the poors of this planet, and even for the poor travelers!

The cathedral of Dresden

64 years ago.Dresden,Germany by the end of war. Many germans still believe in Fuhrer and the final Victory. Despite all the difficulties of the daily life, they still fight! Dresden is an old culture city(kulturstadt) and it was the target of a strong bombardment lead by the american and english planes with devastating consequences: thousands of deads, and even worse, the destroy of important cultural sites, including the cathedral of Dresden.

The remainings of this cathedral (two walls) stand for 60 years as a tragic remember! By the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII non-governmental organizations from US and England had the wonderful salvatory idea to rebuild this cathedral, which was reopened on this very special occasion. This means really freedom, peace, friendship, this is really a symbol. A wonder; maybe the same thing if Osama Bin Laden would rebuild the World Trade Center from Ground Zero, New York!

A romanian philosopher

By

After reading this article, you are supposed to answer me to one question: is this madness or really wisdom?

Shortly, let us go directly to the subject: while traveling in Romania( this country worth to be seen, believe me!) I met a man who could be a saint, or a legend, nevertheless he is misjudged by his neighbors.

He is Mr Costica, or nea Costica, as he is very well known in the village of Golesti, near the city of Focsani. His full name is Leaua Constantin. When he was 30 years old, a machine engineer, he was also married, with one kid, and had an apartment. After a while, all these things perished, and the motivation is not clear at all. Because of his wife, or because of himself, he left all these and lives today as a guard earning 200 euros monthly (100 goes to his son, a student now!). He is also a beekeeper, but neglects sometimes his bees. A real saint or philosoph, carrying no more about the daily life, as he has not any properties.

I took some photos, as you can see where he lives today, appreciate if he is a saint or he is not made for this world.

The End of tourism…

The best places to spend your vacations will suffer the consequences of climatic changes in a few years based on a recent report made by United Nations. Caribbean Islands, Australia, New Zealand, Indian Ocean are at the top of the list. Report shows some countries like Maldives are the most vulnerable to this sort of changes because they don’t realize their dependency for tourism has nasty implications, or just don’t want to do anything.

How will that affect us? The cost of repairs will get huge and prices will explode…

1. The gate of the mega city Seoul burned in a huge fire, and it is completely destroyed. There already some plans to rebuild it. I bag the happy ones to have already saw it to tell us something about it with photographs!

2. Paris is not only the city of loved couples. Statistically speaking, there take place most of the separations and arguments between lovers. It most be quite a sensation to separate from your partner in Paris! Much nicer than in London, of course.

3. There are many projects of sending cars far away from overcrowded or over polluted cities. In Athens, to protect Akropolis, the circulation by car is strong reduced. Following that model the Maire Bloomberg of New York city and also the maire of London launched some interesting law propositions aiming to reduce noise and fumes. The initiatives failed now, but I hope that someone will be able to let them pass! What do you think about Manhattan without cars? Only bikes and planes will be allowed!

Caribbean Islands. Hot. Much fine sand. Reggae music and the shadow of Bob Marley. This country is really hot, and I discovered it since a few days, I want to share you my opinions and experiences, simultaneously waiting yours!

My flight to Kingston was satisfactory. The most important thing, it was safe! So we reached the airport, and only two hours from the airport I found the paradise on Earth: Jake’s treasure!

The name is actually Jake’s resort on Treasure island. Or, namely the paradise on Earth.

A cottage from Jake\'s resort

30 stylish cottages, four stars comfort. But usually in a 4 stars hotel you are never alone, and here is different! It is a harmony between cottages, sky and sea. Right place for a romance or for relaxing vacations. No intense night life, if you need it go somewhere else, check Negril!

Living in a megacity

I wonder where is the man more human, more sociable: in a megacity, in a small village, or in jungle tribe?

I met so many people of all these types, and I must say everyone has something special! All are human beings, but with strong differences between them. Everyone acts different to the same things. But they are still humans, that is why I love humans! Because they are so different.

First of all, what is a megacity? You can name some examples like Tokyo, Mexico City, New York etc., but I still wait for the definition. Briefly: a megacity is a city with a huge population(15 to 20 millions inhabitants) and big surface , facing megaproblems (trafic jams, air pollution, environment). It must be exciting to live in a megacity, but I do not do it for the moment. Please tell me, dear inhabitants of the megacities, what makes you living all those molochs! Do it quickly, do it now, here or on the forum.

Addis Abeba

Did you hear about it? Addis Abeba sounds so deep and exotic to me, but the city is nice, enjoys wonderful climate ( in the neighborhood there are mountains and forests, this is the secret).

This name means New flower, and the city really deserves it, it is one of the most beautiful African cities.

addisabebasatelit.jpg

The founder of the city is the legendary king Menelik II., who succeed to bring together the northern and the southern parts of the country. The foundation of the city took place in 1896. A very young city, and therefore so atractive.Addis Abeba is not only capital, but also the most important economic and touristic center.

You can find in Addis Abeba: many eucalypts, many refugees due to the civil wars ,(many of them mutilated), a lot of baggers(but they are not dangerous. Criminality level in the city is acceptable!), universities, etc
