If you never visited Berlin up to now, I tell you sincerely and honestly that you lost a few things. Berlin, as one of the Europe’s biggest cities, has a lot to tell and to show you. It is a modern vibrant city with intensive night life, and surely the most avantgardistic city across the Europe. David Bowie in person was mesmerized and seduced by the spirit of Berlin.

Along the former Berlin Wall you can make interesting bike tours
Berlin, as we all know, had a trembled history. After WWII it was totally destroyed and its surprisingly reconstruction seemed to be impossible to many people. Many people considered Berlin a condemned city, as they didn’t know the fantastic capacity and discipline of the Germans. Please don’t ask the people on the street about Hitler and the concentration camps, they are not responsible for them. The people are very kind and gentle, and you don’t need to make them guilty or uncomfortable.

Is this building real or is a fake?

But watch it carefully, please, and don’t give a quick answer. On the plate writes: “Opening today”
It was actually a title of one of Marlene Dietrich’s wonderful songs: “Ich habe noch ein Koffer in Berlin“(I still have a suitcase in Berlin).

Marlene Dietrich was a Berlinerin, born in Schonerberg! She loved desperately her city, even living in Hollywood. And I also liked very much this extravagant cosmopolitan city during my stay in Berlin(Hotel Park Inn in city heart, Alexander Platz).
I still have something to tell about Berlin, the third european tourist destination!
Something about the history:

Important mention: everyone of this regime had its own plans and visions for the city’s developpment and led unforgettable traces in Berlin’s architecture

Berlin is attested since the XIIIth century, and is the german capital since 300 years. Nowadays, with its 3,5 millions inhabitants, it is the country’s biggest and most important city. It is a modern city with first class universities and research centre, modern industries like IT, vehicle manufacturation, traffic engineering, biotechnology etc.

Berlin is famous for its liberal way of life, zeitgeist and low costs of living. During the 70’s the big singer David Bowie said nice words about this extravagant city. And John Fitzgerald Kennedy declared in West Berlin, during the cold war: “Ich bin ein Berliner“. Marlene Dietrich was also eine Berlinerin!
