Cairo is a hectic city, with busy traffic and crowded streets, and the weather in the summer can get very hot and uncomfortable. However this is the capital of Egypt, and full of some of the countries greatest treasures, from the iconic pyramids of Giza to the historic wonders displayed in the Cairo Museum, which includes the famous golden burial hoard of the boy Pharaoh Tutankhamen. Also there are many wonderful mosques and sacred places, and some of the most vibrant street markets and bazaars in the world. The Nile threads it way right through the heart of Cairo, and so this city makes an interesting stop on any Nile Cruise tour.

There are plenty of cheap hotels in Cairo if you are trying to stick to a tight budget, but if you are travelling during the summer air-conditioned rooms are an absolute must, as the nights are very hot and sticky, which can make it very different to sleep.

Today Sahara is large, it is even huge. Bigger than Australia! And I wonder if it’s easier to live in Sahara than in Antarctica. Nevertheless, you can find humans in Sahara, but in Antarctica not.

But many time ago Sahara was different than today, and there are some proves for that:in some caves from the Mountains Tassili-Tibesti there are incredible images, comparing with the situation from today: green planes, and domestic animals.
