Calgary is surrounded by stunning landscape, with the wild Canadian prairie land on one side and the rising slopes of the Rocky Mountains on the other. The city itself is an attractive mix of vibrant commercial districts with skyscrapers and traditional leafy suburbs, and both oil and tourism drives the booming economy. Calgary is a city in touch with the stunning land around it, and is known for its modern cowboy culture, which has breathed life into traditional beef herding skills that are ideally suited to the massive grasslands outside the city. In fact many people consider Calgary to be the modern day Dallas, with its oil and beef herds, and the likeness is fitting in many ways as the brash cowboy spirit lives on, and there are plenty of Country and Western bars and taverns. However Calgary is also a city of diversity, with cafes, fine dining restaurants, theatres and opera houses, so there is plenty of things to see and do for all kinds of visitors.
A few time ago, while visiting Canada and reporting about Banff, I also visited Calgary.
I loved Calgary from the first sight, and very soon I wanna go back. I would also recommend to you a visit there.

Calgary lies in the western Canada, being the largest city of the Alberta Provincion with its 1000000 inhabitants. Calgary Alberta hotels and resorts are in good shape and have excellent conditions. Calgary was the first Canadian city hosting the winter Olympic Games in 1988.

Beside winter sports and ecotourism, the petroleum industry, agriculture and hi tech are contributing to the fast growth of the city.
I wish a nice trip and a nice time in Calgary!
In 2007 Calgary was ranked as the world’s cleanest city.

Nowadays, as a modern multicultural city, Calgary still retains much of its traditional culture of hotel saloons, western bars and night clubs.

I went in Barcelona, Mexico, Tanzania. I was tired, so tired, and sick of so many people gathered together for no reason. Someone recommended me Banff in the Canadian Rockies, and it was really the perfect choice. Really, now I am much better and prepared for new trips and adventures.
If you want to discover more about Banff, and the perfect relaxation to get there, then you should read this post and visit Banff.
I am sure you have heard about Banff. It is located in the Canada Alberta provincion, 90 km away from Calgary International Airport and on the Canada Hyghway. It is surrounded by the Rocky Mountains.
Banff location
The town of Banff is very peacefull, with its 6000 inhabitants. It is mere a village, but a nice one! Therefore is recommended for relaxation, but also for many kind of outdoor activities, such skiing, hiking and climbing at all levels.
