More Christmas Gifts for Travelers: Top Notch Gadgets

After writing the post about top Christmas gifts for road warriors, I thought I’d expand the blog post a little and feature 3 of the best gadgets one can give a frequent traveler for Christmas. If you think this suspiciously looked like my own wishlist, then you are not in the wrong – I DO so want every single item in this list!

1. Netbook
Some travelers prefer to stay away from all nuances of technology but I’m not like that – I’ve been living in the company of technology for so long that I simply cannot do away with them even when I am traveling. For those who share the same sentiments as me, they deserve to buy themselves a nice netbook. For those not in the know, netbooks are like laptops or portable computers, only smaller, lighter and comes with less features. They are also more affordable too, and when one only needs to surf the Internet when they are on the go, they don’t need any other unnecessary feature, do they? If you’ve got cash to spare, the SONY Vaio P Series Lifestyle netbooks are highly desirable but on the high end.

1. Las Vegas – Christmas is all about indulgence and treating yourself and your family, and what better place for this than the city of over the top luxury and entertainment that is Las Vegas. There are a number of impressive hotels that go all out for the Christmas and New Year period with some visually stunning decorations, and this time of year you can also get some great bargains as there is heavy competition among hotels to secure Christmas bookings. The Mirage is one of the biggest luxury hotels, and the massive aquarium in the lobby will take your breath away. It is also a casino and has its own shows such as the very popular Cirque du Soleil extravaganza, which you will need to book in advance as it can sell out at peak times.

We still have 2 months from the running year. Is it much or not, you should try to think and to plan your Christmas 2009.

Christmas 2009 is no more to celebrate with the family only. It is a wonderful occasion to leave somewhere. Choosing the right destination is the most important thing for Christmas 2009. It is the Birth of Jesus Christ, a wonderful occasion for joy. I think you should choose the right destination thinking on the possibility to feel this joy and this spirit, and thinking less to the budget.

You should think to the opportunity to attend a divine service in a church, which should not be necessary belonging to your religion. If you can ressent the joy, and the spirit, you are saved, you are much richer. Otherwise, Christmas 2009 will be too dried and commercial. I am often asking myself, if we are waiting the Christmas presents or the Birth of Jesus!

I am proposing to you the following spiritual destinations for Christmas 2009, hoping to meet the right ones.

1. Greece and its beautiful islands.

2.Poiana Brasov, Romania. I would mention mainly the Hotel Orizont.

3.Oslo, which is very close to nature, mainly in winter.
