Doral Golf Resort & Spa, A Marriott Resort, today announced The Jim McLean Signature Course at Doral, formerly known as the Silver Course. Named after acclaimed golf instructor Jim McLean, a Top 100 Instructor who has operated the Jim McLean Golf School at Doral for the past 20 years, The Jim McLean Signature Course at Doral is McLean’s first full golf course design project, and is highlighted by three of the toughest starting holes in golf.
The Jim McLean Signature Course at Doral offers a fair test of skill and shotmaking. The first three holes on the McLean Course are consecutive par-4’s approaching nearly 500 yards each, truly defining a new golf course which will ensure a great challenge for players at all levels. The new course includes design features that enhance aesthetics as well as course strategy. Tee complexes are placed to provide varying distances to challenge players of all levels. In addition, the course was grassed with certified Tifway 419 Bermuda grass to provide more consistent playing conditions, a new irrigation system was installed, new continuous cart paths were constructed, and bunkers were designed to complement the course’s overall strategy.

Flybe franchise carrier Loganair has today (Tuesday, October 13) released its Summer 2010 summer schedule, placing over 300,000 seats on sale including the busy Easter and summer travel periods.
Passengers can now book their seats via www.flybe.com on Loganair operated routes throughout the Highlands and Islands and on routes linking Aberdeen with Cardiff; Dundee with Birmingham and Belfast City and the Isle of Man with Edinburgh and Glasgow until 5 September 2010.
Loganair recorded bumper passenger numbers on many of its routes during Summer 2009, having made more seats than ever before available at its lowest fares to help keep Britain moving during the recession. Building on this success, Loganair is introducing a number of enhancements to its schedules for 2010:
A new timetable between Aberdeen and Kirkwall, offering more seats at busy travel times and improving connections via Aberdeen to other UK domestic destinations.

BA’S TRAFFIC FALLS 4% TO 1.6m
Ryanair, the World’s favourite airline, today (Friday, 6th November 2009) announced that it carried four times the UK and Europe short-haul traffic of British Airways (once the World’s favourite airline) in October as 6.2m passengers travelled throughout Europe on Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares (up 15%) while BA’s short haul (UK and Europe) traffic fell by 4% to just 1.6m passengers.
Ryanair celebrated its continued growth and leadership over BA by releasing 1 million £5 seats for travel in late November and December, which are available at www.ryanair.com
