For those who don’t know, Pike Place Market is a huge marketplace, similar to a farmers market. You can find fresh food, collectibles, and just about anything else there. Plus, the market itself as well as the surrounding area is very beautiful, so it’s a good place to go just to sight see.

2. The Space Needle

The Space Needle is known by most Americans, and even many foreigners, as the symbol of Seattle. Though you can see the needle from almost anywhere in the city, a trip to Seattle would not be complete without a vist to the legendary Space Needle. You can simply go to look and marvel at the amazing structure, or, for a price, you can go up in the elevators. If you happen to be hungry, there is a very good restaurant at the top of the needle. Just be sure to make a reservation as space is usually limited.

3. Experience Music Project

Experience Music Project, or EMP, is a music museum known nationwide. Though admission is fairly expensive, the experience is well worth the pricetag. The things you will see at EMP are hard to explain, but suffice it to say that if you like music, you will like EMP.

4. Safeco Field

Safeco Field, which is home of the Seattle Mariners, is a popular destination for baseball fanatics. Whether you like baseball or not, going to a Mariners game is a fun, bonding experience, especially if you bring your family along. Just be sure to bring enough cash, as food and drinks in the stadium are far from cheap.

Angel Fire New Mexico is a small town but a hugely popular ski resort destination. The actual population of Angel Fire is around 1,000 but thousands more visit every winter to take on the beautiful ski slopes that reach 10,000+ feet in height. Lodging and skiing at Angel Fire is a family tradition for many in the South West, but ski enthusiasts from around the world visit every year.

However, for most people, the experience is well worth the price. If you can’t afford to drop much money, visiting the Mall of America can still be very fun, even if you only go for a day. Though there are many hot places to shop in the NYC, some of the most legendary and prestigious stores are headquartered on Madison Avenue. Many of the worlds best designers, such as Dior, Armani, Prada, Ralph Lauren, and others have stores on this well-known street. If you do go to New York, be sure to check out Fifth Ave as well, where you will find Tifanny’s, Saks, and other must-see stores.

Though Las Vegas is known primarily for it’s gambling, there are a lot of shopping destinations near the Strip. This is mainly because when people win money they want to spend it, so high-end stores locate themselves as close to casinos as possible. The pyramids attract thousands of visitors every year, so it’s best to get there as early in the morning as possible. It’s actually mandatory if you want to go inside the pyramids! It costs about 80 Egyptian pounds to enter the Giza plateau, and another 150 or so to enter one of the pyramids. However, to preserve the pyramids, they limit the number of tickets sold to 150 in the morning and 150 in the afternoon. Another recent change is tour guides are not allowed to purchase tickets for their group, instead all tourists must buy individual tickets at the ticketing center.

While you may want to believe that the walls of the pyramids are lined with ancient writing and art, the reality is quite the opposite. Upon entering the pyramids, one thing is for certain: they were not designed for tourism. The ceilings are low, some of the paths are downright treacherous, and temperatures in the summers can exceed 100 degrees! The inside of the pyramids are not for the weak of heart.

Since the pyramids are Egypt’s biggest attraction, they attract thousands of tourists every day during peak travel season. If the pyramids are too crowded, be sure to check out the sphinx as well. There is no additional charge to visit the sphinx. It is here that you will find the cafe to quench your mid afternoon hunger. It’s also where they have nightly shows, where lights will illuminate the pyramids and tell a bit of history in many different languages.

If you’re looking for a new experience, try touring the pyramids on horseback. While not as “authentic” as a camel, westerners often enjoy the horse ride more than the camel ride. They also don’t spit, and aren’t quite as moody as camels. Not only that, but if you have a horse you can stay on the Giza plateau after it closes! Book a rental at Nazlat el Samman, just south of Giza. Remember, agree to a price FIRST and haggle aggressively! If you decide to walk around the pyramids though, be prepared! It’s hot, so wear plenty of sunscreen, drink tons of water, and wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

While the weather and water at Buzios is generally milder than most other surfing destinations, waves there reach up to 8 feet. Plus, with so many beaches to surf, you will find it hard to ever grow bored.

For hardcore surfing fans, there is probably no better place to be than Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa. As the location of the popular Billabong Surfing Festival, Jeffrey’s Bay attracts surfers from all over the world. So, these are in my opinion some dangerous places:

1.Hanoi. In such an exciting city with a well preserved colonial center and 600 temples there are also some pocket thieves waiting for you.

2.Buenos Aires. The Argentina capital is a very active city with many locals and tourists. Don’t assume that all portenos have the best intentions. There is even a very well known trick that you should try to avoid: one people you can’t see throws something on your coat, and another one comes to help you removing the matter ( which they say to be guano).  During that minute you must observe your helper very carefully, or otherwise he will remove also your wallet!

3.Rome. Visit Fontana di Trevi and be mesmerized by its secret charms, but don’t forget the common sense and the care for your belongings.
