World’s most expensive hamburgers

This is another myth I want to discuss with you: the hamburger, or shortly the burger. Everybody knows that the burger is the usually frugal cheap meal for a traveler, or for a man in a hurry. In America many people eat burgers, but not only one or two. They eat tens of pieces, and the specialists are sure that is not safe and healthy. Since a few days one man (American, of course) broke the world record for eating burgers: 68 pieces within 1 minute. But this is not my main issue for today.
I wanna know what is your opinion about the price of hamburger. Between 1 and 2 dollar is the normal answer, and I totally agree. As usually, where we have a rule, we have also many exceptions. These amazing exceptions are the thing we intend to debate!
2001 the French chef Daniel Bouloud working in the New York’s DB Bistrot Moderne created a revolutionary burger with foie gras, short ribs and truffles. It was a hit and still runs successfully at 32 $! Shortly after, the Old Homestead Steakhouse created a 40 $ burger with Kobe beef. Ever since, many restaurants introduced in their menus the once unusually 20 $ burgers for the upscale clients.

In Le Burger Brasserie from Las Vegas Paris casino you can get the world's most expensive burgers for 700 $ each1
And the globalization works! This rush for huge burgers hit all the corners of the world, as practically everybody knows and appreciates hamburgers. In Jakarta, Indonezia at the Four seasons restaurant runs the one million rupees burger ( 96 $ ). It contains wasabi mayonnaise, Portobello mushrooms and foie gras. Honk Kong holds on, and offers in Steak House restaurant The Devil Bug for 130 $. It contains foie gras, gruyere cheese and wasabi, weighting 35 ounces.

Exquisite burger coming from French Chef Daniel Bouloud, the father of the expensive burgers fashion
These special sorts of burgers are thought to feed 1 to 4 persons, and if you think that all these guys are exagerating read carefully further. In Las Vegas (where else, you should have thinked!) in the Paris Casino restaurant, called Le Burger Brasserie, you can get a fantastic burger. This peak of burger extravaganza costs 770 $ and contains Kobe beef, Maine lobster, caramelized onions, brie cheese and prosciuto, accompagned by the best Dom Perignon champagne.
I think, the good old times of the cheap burgers are definitively gone!

Big Mac still under $5. No dom perignon, must have coke. No portabello mushrooms, but has pickles. No brie cheese, but has special sauce. Still yummy.
