Take a Berlin Holiday

Why not? If you’ve always wanted to go someplace that is full of history and culture, then Berlin is your place. Where else can you view such a visible end to the division of people? Where else can you witness a segment of history so closely? Where else can you find a place that has overcome its past to have a brilliant future?

Brandenburg Gate, Berlin

There’s probably no where else on earth that is such a wondrous sight. There was a time when going on a Berlin holiday would have been unheard of. People would have trembled at being so close to the forbidden East Berlin. But not anymore. The Wall is down and it’s time to see a place that is full of live and brimming with hope.

So what exactly would you do on a Berlin holiday? There is much to see besides their well-known World War II history. In fact, many people don’t realize how much more there is to Berlin. It’s a pity that’s the only connection, the immediate connection, when Berlin is mentioned. But a Berlin holiday can offer so much more. So much more indeed.

Such as taking in a tour or two, seeing the Parliament Building or visiting some museums. You can even enjoy the Berlin Zoo if it suits your fancy. If you’d like some improvisational theater, you might check out the Laugh Olympics Berlin. And if you’re really daring, check out the KitKat Club. To get in to see this…interesting display…you must be calm, cool and definitely fashionable. This is one club where the clientele where the most expensive garb to absolutely nothing. If you manage to get past the bouncers and into the club, don’t be surprised to see extreme displays of affection once inside.

Of course, if you are a history buff and fascinated with the history of World War II, then there is plenty to see. And if you would like to see where the Berlin Wall once stood, you’ll get to do that too. But don’t stop there. Make sure you get to see the Wall Victims Memorial as well. It’s definitely worth a look. In fact, just as sad and prideful to them as many would find Pearl Harbor, or the Viet Nam Memorial in the United States.

You can see many great historical sights on your own or through a tour. Revisit some bone chilling moments when you are taken back on a journey where Nazi meetings took place and see some of their bunkers. Visit museums that cater to anyone fascinated with history, from the pro to the curious.

A Berlin holiday offers so much to a person that likes to travel and see the world. To experience the culture of a new and different place. Any traveler that likes to visit a place where it’s so easy to remember times gone by as well as be able to look to the future, well, then they need to visit Berlin.
