There is no better way to unwind from a hectic busy lifestyle then by having a
vacation in one of the many yoga retreats around the world. These retreats are
aimed specifically at balancing your mental, physical and spiritual well being, and
combine beautiful, serene locations with healthy food, meditation and yoga tuition.
Most yoga retreats provide classes for all levels of experience, from beginners to
professional looking for some quiet time out, and there are often additional
entertainments provided if you want to bring a partner who is not so interested in the
yoga itself.
If you are looking for a cheap yoga holiday then there are plenty of tour operators
who provide these types of spiritual holidays in destinations all around world, and
have many packages to offer those on a tight budget. Remember that those retreats
that are based in very exotic locations, with luxurious accommodation and facilities
are the more expensive types of yoga holidays on offer, so look out for more modest
retreats in places like the Mediterranean, which are far cheaper than exotic
destinations like the Caribbean, but still have warm, sunny climates and beautiful,
serene surroundings.

This travel company has a number of good value spiritual based holidays in
wonderful locations all around the world such as:
* West Crete Yoga – Free Spirit provides two yoga options, the Hotel Peli and
the Mithimna Beach, on Kastelli, West Crete. Both venues are near to the
sea and offer beautiful surroundings full of peaceful beaches, olive groves
and mountains. Yoga holidays here include accommodation, food and yoga
tuition all for around £475 per week, and guided walks are also offered so that
you can explore the local area by foot, which are usually one to two hours
long, and taken at a gentle pace. A typical day in the Hotel Peli and Mithimna
Beach yoga programmes will include a two hour yoga session in the morning
(tutored by an experience yoga teacher), followed by a healthy vegetarian
breakfast. You will then have some free leisure time, which you can use to
relax and enjoy a quiet walk or swim, or take advantage of some of the
other relaxing health treatments also offered such as massages and facials.
There is a second, shorter yoga class in the late afternoon, before a trip down
to the local tavernas for the evening meal.

Andalucia offers not only beaches, but also strange lunatic landscapes, which are good for the yoga practice
* The El Moro Yoga Camp, Andalucia, Spain – Free Spirit offer several
excellent yoga holidays in Spain, and a favorite is the El Moro Yoga Camp,
which is based within a working organic farm, with accommodation, purpose-
built yoga shala and two swimming pools. This is a beautiful and peaceful
area, set deep within the heart of the Sierra de Aracena National Park in hills
of Andalucia, and a weeks stay here will cost you from around £495. The
yoga shala has been converted from one of the original farm buildings and is
open on all sides so that you can look over the olive groves as you work out,
and can accommodate up to 30 students comfortably. A typical day begins
here with an hours worth of mediation first thing in the morning, followed by a
two hour yoga session with trained and experienced yoga teachers. Brunch
is then served (all food is made with fresh organic ingredients from the farm
whenever possible), and the students have some free time until the afternoon.
There is an optional Astanga yoga practice early afternoon (for more
experienced students), followed by another group yoga session in the late
afternoon. Dinner is then served and the students can relax and enjoy
themselves for the rest of the evening.
Practice yoga and free your mind and soul. Practice yoga and try to reach nirvana. Practice also tantra to find your paired soul.

I am looking for a calm place in the UK to spend Christmas holidays from 22nd Dec until 3rd Jan. I do not plan for special food or celebrations. If I can have some yoga, all the best. My budget is small. Therefore, I could help around as well, ie. do some work.
Thank you of you have any suggestions./.CG
