One of the greatest services offered in Manila are the hotels. At an extremely cheap price you can find yourself in a lovely room in one of the city’s fantastic hotels, enjoying your accommodation in style, and giving you a pleasant vacation experience. With so many for under $20 USD a night, you can find decent amenities, clean rooms, and friendly service, making it a value beyond saving a few bucks.

* The Green Mango Inn – Located on Aguirre Avenue, near the Manila Airport, this lovely little place gives hostels a very good name. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very afford, at rates starting as low as $5.50 a night for an twin bed, or $7.50 for a twin with a private bathroom. They also have some great dorm accommodations that can be rented out for a group of up to six people. They also have plenty of amenities like air conditioning, International cable television, a library, and a DVD collection, and their friendly service can’t be beat.
* The Four Seasons Hometel – Located near the heart of Metro Manila, the Four Seasons Hometel is surrounded by the restaurants, night clubs, and shopping centers in the area. Despite this, the hotel is actually very quiet, and you can be assured a good night’s sleep in a comfortable room. While it isn’t quite as clean as some of it’s neighboring hotels, it isn’t actually dirty, more dingy, and for the price you won’t even notice. Rates start at just $6.00 USD.

* The Pearl Garden Hotel – Located on Luna Street, this 3-star hotel is a really great little place. With high speed Internet, clean rooms, and mini bars that don’t overcharge nearly to the extent that US hotels do, it is a great value at $55.00 USD a night. It’s also near a variety of restaurants, bars, and within walking distance of several attractions.

* The Citadel Inn Makati – Located in Makati City, this hotel has some of the nicest, most helpful staff in Manila. Not only are they eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible, but they will go out of their way to make sure your needs are met, and with a smile on their faces. The rooms themselves are spotless, and the location is perfect for a day and night out on the town, with plenty of places to eat, drink, play, dance, shop, and all in all just enjoy yourself. They also have International cable TV, a small kitchen, bathroom, fridge, and mini bar, a massage parlor, a restaurant, a cocktail bar, on site currency exchange, laundry services, and more. All of this starts at rates as low as $40.00 USD a night.

* The Atrium Hotel – While a little overpriced, this is a great place to stay in a pinch, especially if it will only be a night or so. While the building itself could do with a little remodeling, the rooms are clean, attractive, and spacious, with air conditioning, a hair dryer, cable TV, and a mini bar, as well as a private kitchen and fridge. There are no coffee making services, which means you will have to run down to the in-house restaurant for a cup of tea, but they do have room service, which makes up for that. Rates per night start at $60.00 USD per night.
