If you’re thinking for visiting San Francisco to celebrate the Pride weekend, you should book yourselves a room with these prime hotels. After all, you only want the best Pride Weekend experience between June 26 and 27. You need to be sure that you’re staying with one of the sponsor hotels.
The events for this celebration will start off at Castro, but you don’t want to be staying too near the main attractions. After all, a person still has to sleep. This is why the Clift Hotel is the perfect resting place. A night here costs an average of $245. This already covers the room, $50 worth of hotel credits, free parking (you’re in San Francisco, so this is a big deal) and two tickets for the Grand Stand Parade which happens on Sunday.
The hotel also throws in two VIP tickets to the Pride Party to make sure that you get the most out of your weekend.
Also sponsoring the Pride Weekend is the Marriott Marquiz. For this particular weekend, special room rates are being offered. The cheapest starts at $149 a night, but it doesn’t include any hotel credits or bonuses. You can book a room online. All you have to do is to go to their website and encode “SFPSFPA” when they ask you for the promotion code.
Joie de Vivre’s
If you want to stay in a hotel that welcomes gay pride with open arms, sponsor hotel Joie de Vivre’s is also a good lodging option. The hotel helps celebrate San Francisco Pride’s 40th anniversary by giving 20% off of its original room rates.
News has it that the promo won’t just last over the Pride Weekend but up until the end of this year, as well. To book a room, just go to the hotel’s website and encode the promotion code “PRIDE” when prompted.
If this hotel fits your taste, you might also want to check out Hotel Kabuki ($111 a night), Galleria Park ($103 a night), Hotel Tomo, and Hotel Rex (both at $135 a night). The Fisherman’s Wharf also offers a similar promo, with discounts running through the end of the year. Rates here start at $209 a night. Just go to the hotel’s website and type in “LGBT10” when prompted for the promo code.
Ladies Night Out
If you’re one of the ladies who want to experience the colorful Pride Weekend, the best lodgings you can find is at the Parc 55 Union Square Hotel. This is only two blocks from the Union Square and the Parade, and at $105 a night, you probably won’t mind the limited space. Call (800) 595.0507 to book a room, and don’t forget to mention “Curve Magazine” when asked for the group code.
This fee already covers two Parade Grand Stand tickets, and admission to the Women’s Welcome Cocktail Party. For similar hotels, look at the rates being offered at Hotel Whitcomb.
Handlery Union Square Hotel also has a competitive room rate at $159 a night. This already covers your accommodations, free parking, and tickets to the Grand Stand. You have to book through the website, though, to qualify.
