Everyone knows that London is famous for its tea and scones and a pint at the pub with some fish and chips. But is that the only cuisine that London has to offer the rest of the world? There’s no way that London could be so popular and so full of culture if that is truly all it had in the way of food. Could it?
Well, there’s only one way to find out. You’d have to take a trip to London and visit some of the restaurants that London has to offer.
Before you decide what kind of London restaurant is the one you’d want to try on a trip to London, you should consider a few things. Such as do you want something that is fun and boisterous? Or are you looking for something family oriented? There’s nothing worse than taking the kids to a restaurant and finding out that there’s nothing on the menu for them. Or worse, that it’s just not really a kid friendly restaurant. Another question you should ask yourself is: are you willing to try anything? If not, then you might want to consider the cuisine being served at the restaurant prior to going. What would honestly be the point of going to a restaurant that serves French food, if you really don’t like French food? Makes absolutely no sense. So you might want to make sure that they serve food you’ll actually eat. Or maybe price is a big deal. You can find that, like anywhere else, London restaurants range in price. So there’s usually something for everyone.
So what kinds of London restaurants do you want to try? If you’re into upscale and expensive, then you might want to check out Marcus Wareing at the Savoy Grill. This is a traditional place and you can find a meal in the $150.00 range. The food is absolutely excellent as is the service. Another place that can be a little pricey but sure is good is Zuma, a Japanese restaurant that is also rather upscale but offers some tasty delicacies and great service. Of course, Gordon Ramsey’s Restaurant is always a good choice, too, and the type of cuisine is dependent upon the location.
If you’re looking for something a little more laid back and down to earth, you can always check out this Italian restaurant that is simply delicious. It’s called Fifteen Restaurant and it’s most arguably one of the best in London. However, if you’re in London and looking for something different with quite a bit of flavor, you might check out New Tayyabs which offers Pakistani cuisine. If you look around you can find cuisine from almost any part of the world.
No matter what kind of fare or aromatic delights your searching for, London can fulfill the desires of your taste buds…and your stomach, too. The London restaurants offer an interesting selection of food, that will appease even the most pickiest of eaters.

As far as I know, Marcus hasn’t worked at the Savoy Grill in a few years. He’s now at Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley (in the Berkeley Hotel)
