If you ever traveled in desert or in hot countries by noon, you understand better what is shadow and water and coolness: it is really a wonder. I always have this wonderful feeling when drinking water being thirsty.
A modern fountain build in the middle of a city is much more than that! Combined with the architectural and artistic knowledge it is much more impressive and spectacular. Many cities have as a badge a certain fountain. I love fountains and I am very fond of them. Being in a city for the first time, I strive to know it starting with its fountains.
I selected bellow some fountains of the world which I found breathtaking and really fabuluos.
1. Fountain of the Wealth in Suntec City, Singapore symbolizes the unity of the four races living in Singapore. It is actually world’s biggest fountain!

The Fountain of Wealth in Singapore ejects the water at 30 meters height and the lake occupies 2000 square meters.
2. The Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas is really breathtaking due to special water effects consisting in a real water choreographic show played every 30 minutes on different music pieces ( Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, Andrea Boceli).

The water, light and music show is very impressive, even breathtaking and it can be seen from far away on the Vegas strip. The lake has a surface of 9 acres. For building this fountain on these tough times are 50 000 000 $ needed
3. The Magic Fountains of Montjuic in Barcelona offers also a wonderful show of light, water and music. It was build in the year 1929 with 3000 workers and lies between Placa de Catalunia and National Palace.

4. Fontana di Trevi in Rome is the world’s most famous fountain and every visitor of Rome is supposed to visit it, as it is an architecture wonder from the XVIIIth century. Throwing a coin in the fountain means that the visitor will come again to Rome. Federico Fellini made the fountain so famous in the 60’s with his movie “La Dolce Vita” when Anita Ekberg takes a night swimm in the fountain.

5. King Fahd’s Fountains in Jedah, Saudi Arabia. This is the world’s tallest fountain. Its three pumps throws 600 liters water per second at 310 metres at an incredible speed of 375 km/h. Pay a visit to this fountain being in Jedah!
