Chile has a low population, there are not very good conditions for living( volcanos, Atacama desert, Antarctis, high mountains). Near Santiago lives the half of the population.
Due to the mountains which are close to the coast, there are not long rivers. But nice landscapes for sure!
There are volcanoes, earthquakes in Chile, and you must be tough to survive there! So are all these Chileans, which are speaking spanish with strong influences of aztecs and incas languages. The Chilean are themselves a picturesque and spectacular mix between Spanish and indians!
You can find many exotic flowers and animals in Chile.

Do not think that Chile is completely savage: it is there the big city of Santiago de Chile, with its many museums, churches, Universidad Catolica, sports arena (remember that in 1962 Chile hosted the worlds football championships)
