I must admit, I like Germany, with no special reason , as I like usually the places and people I visit all over the world.

But shortly, the facts: after having discovered Berlin, I also visited Frankfurt, and I liked it.

I think Frankfurt am Main is much more modern; it is together with Paris and Moscow one of the european cities having skyscrapers. Here in Frankfurt you can get seven skyscrapers higher than 150 meters. These are usually not open to the public, excepting the Fernsehturm which offers a fabulous view. For this reason, people call sometimes Frankfurt am Main as Manhattan

The city of Frankfurt has only 660 000 inhabitants, but in the urban area live 2 260 000 people, and in the Frankfurt Rhine Main Area over 5 millions.

Frankfurt is the German capital for finance, commerce and transportation. The airport from Frankfurt am Main is Europe’s bigger and one of the world’s busiest, the city railway station is Germany’s biggest; near to Frankfurt is the most important intersecting point of Autobahnen ( car streets). Frankfurt Stock Exchange is one of the world’s busiest, and the Internationale Autoaustellung is the world’s biggest car exhibition.

Some information for the culture freaks: Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Germany’s biggest writer, was born and lived in Frankfurt am Main, and you can visit his rebuilt memorial house; you can find in Museumsufer 13 museums waiting to be visited, which is very practically if you stay under time pressure.
