Most Dangerous Cities Of World
Tags: avoid to ruin your vacation, dangerous cities, dangerous places, getting contact with locals, how to behave in a foreign city, overcrowded places, pocket thieves in big cities, staying safe during travels, travel destinations worldwide, Travel InsuranceUnfortunately, many of the traditional tourist destinations developed themselves to turning plates of the international crime. It is not your goal to interfere with that, I am sure. You only wish to visit a nice city, its museums, having contact with locals. But you need to stay alert, because the pocket thieves can ruin your vacations! The basic rules to avoid that are very simple and very well known by you, as by any other tourist. But in some places you must take extra care! Most of them are in Europe, as Europe is still the favorite target for many tourists coming from the all world. But some interesting and recommended locations are competing with this fame of the old continent!
So, these are in my opinion some dangerous places:
1.Hanoi. In such an exciting city with a well preserved colonial center and 600 temples there are also some pocket thieves waiting for you.
2.Buenos Aires. The Argentina capital is a very active city with many locals and tourists. Don’t assume that all portenos have the best intentions. There is even a very well known trick that you should try to avoid: one people you can’t see throws something on your coat, and another one comes to help you removing the matter ( which they say to be guano). During that minute you must observe your helper very carefully, or otherwise he will remove also your wallet!
3.Rome. Visit Fontana di Trevi and be mesmerized by its secret charms, but don’t forget the common sense and the care for your belongings.
4.Paris. Or the City of Light, or the City of Love, is a magnetic city for people all over the world. La Basilique de Sacre Coeur, and the tube are the most dangerous places.
5.Florence is waiting for you with some wonderful medieval works, and also with the breathtaking Piazza della Signoria. Which is usually overcrowded, and not all the people have the cleanest thoughts.
6.Athens, and its wonderful museums lying mainly in open air (e.g. Parthenon) are very interesting, even exciting. This can make you forget the usually safety measures.
7.Amsterdam has a peaceful flair, and the people seem to be very friendly. Of course, with some exceptions!
8.Madrid has many museums (e.g. El Prado) and an interesting shopping area, El Rastro. In these places you must be specially careful.
9.Prague. Most of the tourists go to the medieval Bridge of Carol. But this is also where the pocket thieves go!
10.Barcelona with its wonderful walking area Las Ramblas are surely worthing a visit. But on Las Ramblas you must stay very alert!
All above is meant only as a normal warning. It should not mean to avoid these travel destinations, which are above the best worldwide. You only should try to stay alert in the cities and places I remembered. Thus you can avoid ruining your vacations and keeping the same good impressions about the selected destination.

I just cant believe this, NO this just cant be true…..Tijuana (across from San Diego), Mexicali, Nogales(across from Tucson), Ciudad Juarez(across the border from El Paso) Nuevo Laredo (across from Laredo,Tx) and Matamoras (across from Brownsville,TX).. These are cities across the border we share with Mexico, and these Mexican cities have unbelievable crime rates, every imaginable crime, they are owned and run by huge mexican gangs who also own most of these cities and their politicians, their crime rates make New Orlean look like VATICAN CITY…
New Orleans has had a bad year, but what city doesnt. But this is too will pass, and our great city shall hopefully be able to forget this horrible lie said about us, we have a new mayor working and he is working hard to find us a new Police Chief and I have lots of confidence in Mayor Landreu. We should all be grateful in a way to these gang members fopr taking out other gang members, eventually there wont be many left if any, AND this will have saved the city and state millions of dollars which we would have had to have spent on trying and houseing these monsters for the rest of their lives…. So there is always an up side to a bad situation, we are a great city that is making wonderful strides to get above and better than we were prior to KATRINA its devestating powers… WE ALREADY ARE BETTER THAN WE WERE BEFORE….. Please dont believe this nonsense, come visit our great city and see for yourself ……..Thanks very much and hope to see you soon …… Daph

This is the most ridiculous list of “dangerous cities” i have ever seen. Where I do understand that they are singling out major tourist destinations which would all naturally have petty crime, this list is disgustingly false in what it claims to be a ‘dangerous city’ ALL the cities on this list are world known to be some of the safest major cities in the world, and it is pathetic that major cities in the USA were not put on this list when they are statistically some of the most dangerous and by FAR more dangerous than any city that these ignorants put on this list. Pick-pocketing is hardly life threatening, and it only happens to people that have no urban consciousness what-so-ever…so this list was just made to give more paranoia to suburban over weight uneducated americans…who will probably inevitably be pick pocketed regardless and then that will be all they have to say about there holiday in one of these beautiful (and safe) cities, and be completely unaware of the realities in there own corrupt country.

Rome, definitely, deserves to be on that list. We went there for a week vacation in 1999, and my goodness, my family and I were harassed every single day. It was a nightmare! We also visited Paris in 1996 and Prague in 2000 and had no problems at all.

Why isn’t Moscow included? Paris way safer.
