But what is Rovaniemi? It is not a joke, neither a vanilla dish. Rovaniemi is a town, which is very close to the nothern polar circle. 60 000 people live on a surface three times bigger than Luxemburg! So strange and nice is this town, that Santa Claus choosed to live here also, having even a P.O. box!Rovaniemi from the air

Rovaniemi is a destination for any season. You can reach easily Rovaniemi by air, through Helsinki. From the airport, with 5 euro for person you can reach the center(even if the town is huge,100 sqkm, the centre is small, and you can find there all what you need). Including the hotels, the best being City Hotel and Clarion Santa Claus Hotel. The Artikum Museum is here and is a must.

In Rovaniemi sometimes after night comes another night, and after day comes another day! During June you can see the sun in the middle of the night. There is a strange beautiful light all around, here in the Lappland(the land of lapons)
