I've been an Acapulco regular for about a dozen years now. I think it's an overlooked destination these days (which of course makes it less crowded and more enjoyable for those of us who do go ;-) It's a great place with truly everything to offer. So I had to reply with this tip... I stayed at the Diamonte Real for many years, but on my last trip decided to try a private villa. I cannot recommend Casa Delfin enough. It is FABULOUS! There is a great staff that cooks and cleans and can help with anything you want or need. The private pool and sun deck (overlooking Acapulco Bay) was such a luxury - so quiet.
