Maybe for many people is a motive to sadness; people who dislike hot temperatures, or desperately love skiing, as I do!

There are a few ski resorts I tried this winter: Austria’s alpine glaciers; Sweden and Norway. But I think none of those was so heartbreaking nice as Lake Tahoe. I think, if you are lucky, you can still get some snow there, hurry up!

Maybe you know already how to reach Lake Tahoe: between the federal states of California and Nevada, not far from Reno (the nearest airport). By car on the US Route 50, or highway 89 or 28, or even Interstate 80. Check them out to get the ski resorts from Lake Tahoe.

South Shore of Lake Tahoe

On the South Shore you find Heavenly Ski Resorts, famous for its gondola. On the north shore you find The Squaw Valley, the host of the 1960 Winter Olympic games. Hosting these games caused booming the area, today the process is ended. Lake Tahoe should preserve its serenity and silence, it is a spirit in this area. A spirit of adventure, which caused even naming a famous SUV after the lake!

If you will be not so lucky to find snow there, do not worry, there are a lot of outdoor activities to do in Lake Tahoe:swimming, hiking, biking, rafting, diving, baseball etc. And if you are still energic at night, you will have many entertainment opportunities, such as exceptional restaurants and casinos(mainly on Nevada shore).

Depending on your choice, the night stay at Tahoe is not expensive, starting from 30 $ per night. You also find to rent homes from locals starting from 800$ monthly for one room. There are a lot of real estate, or even luxury real estate business in Lake Tahoe, to be sure.
