Singapore Changi
Changi is the best airport for 2010 according to the World Airport Awards by Skytrax. The airport has some great amenities for the travellers young and old. Where can you find free use of WiFi or game consoles? Their lounge chairs even have built in alarm clocks, just to make sure those who want to get some shuteye will not miss their flights.
For $10 US you can also access the Jacuzzi and swimming pool at the Ambassador Transit Hotel.
Athens International
The ATH still smells new since it was only built in 2001. Some excellent features include the green area around the control tower and the best technology in robotic security. Sleeping in this Athens airport will not be a problem too since announcements are not made over the PA system. Yes, that means you can really have a good night’s rest here.
Amsterdam Schiphol
Art lovers who are stranded in AMS have the Rijksmuseum where you can see Dutch obra maestras by Rembrandts and other artists. There is also a library in this airport which opened several months ago. If paintings or books are not your thing, drop by the casino and rake in some chips.
The airport is also a great venue for those who want to exchange their I Do’s in a unique venue. The wedding planner at Schiphol will be more than glad to discuss the different options that you have for the wedding ceremonies.
Beijing Capital International
This airport was specifically built to cater to the pour in of travellers and tourists during the 2008 summer Olympics. And like other things in China, this airport is a symbol of its booming economy. The Terminal 3 boasts of 84 shops, 64 restaurants, and free wifi.

Carrasco International- Montevideo
This new terminal in all its sleekness and grandeur just opened this summer. The architecture of the facility alone will help it climb the ladder of the best of the best airports in the world today. Montevideo is also expected to attract more travellers especially with the reciprocity fees implemented by Argentina.
