Death Valley National Park is like, yet not like other national parks. It is the same in that there are plenty of outdoor activities to do such as camping and hiking and sightseeing. However, it is very different from others because the landscape and views are totally unique to Death Valley. Death Valley National Park is quite opposite from its name. Its name actually came from emigrants trying to get into California. Having decided to try a short cut, they traveled for months across what was to become Death Valley. Only one person died on that journey, but as they left the valley one woman turned and said, “Goodbye Death Valley” and that’s how its name was born.

So if you’re interested in seeing Death Valley National Park, don’t let the name deter you. It’s a beautiful park with fun things to do and interesting sights to see. It is definitely an unforgettable place.
