It may sound like a new holiday fad, but the reality is a staycation is perhaps one of the most economically affordable ways to have a relaxing break on your very doorstep. It may not sound very luxurious, but you’d be surprised the lengths you can go to in order to ensure that your vacation is just as relaxing and perhaps even more relaxing then a $10,000 dollar trip abroad.

It’s easy to fall into the mindset of simply taking a week off of work and not actually doing anything. If you have some holiday time coming up, the most important thing you can do is to plan a budget, and plan an itinerary it doesn’t matter that you are staying at home, you can still have a holiday!
