Here is a compilation of new routes that we have heard of in the past week:
Delta
Travellers from Rhode Island traveling via the TF Green International Airport have more options this year. Delta is adding three daily flights for those heading to Washington National Airport. There are also new services to Minneapolis and Detroit. The connection in Detroit makes life a lot easier for those heading to Asia.
Come April 1, Delta will add three daily options to fly from Boston to Pittsburgh. There will be flights at 9:30 in the morning, 3:05 in the afternoon, and 8:10 in the evening.
Cape Air
If you are thinking of Nantucket and Martha’ Vineyard in New England, Cape Air adds some to their list of destinations with flights to Anguilla, Missouri, and Maine. The flight to the British territory in the Caribbean though are only available if you are coming in from Puerto Rico.
Another good news is that St.Louis, Missouri and Ft. Leonard Wood are now connected. As well as Boston and Augusta, Maine.
Qantas
According to news scattered all over the interwebs, things might be back to normal by January 17 for the A380s of Qantas hopping between Los Angeles and Sydney. For all we know, it must have been because of Oprah.
US Airways
The company is looking forward to the warmer days and come May 19, there will be a second flight between Charlotte and Frankfurt. They also have other options for London, Dublin, Madrid, and Paris. Summer. I can’t wait.
