Do’s And Don’ts During A Travel

Travelling at long distances is surely not unusual for you. But you should also notice during your travel the huge distance between the acceptable behaviour at different destinations. Sometimes, even between neighboring countries is a huge difference about what is the civilised behaviour. For you as a tourist is necesarily to now and aply all these rules, otherwise the locals wil make a full of you, or will totally reject your company. In the worst cases, you risk to be emprisonned. Of course, you don’t want all these things to happen, and that’s why I present here the travel etiquette.
1. In the muslim countries the legs are the most disregarded part of the body. Don’t show your legs without apropriate shoes and remember the Iraqi journalist who threw one of his shoe against American President George Bush. He may not have intented to hit him, but the offence is huge, as he tried to demean him. He was sentenced at three years of prison.
2. In many countries on Earth which are not 100% democratic you should avoid asking questions, or criticize the regime or the ruling families. In Thailand the slightest critic against the king or the regime turns easily in lese-majesty, leading to long years of prison.
3. In the most islamic countries beware to speak up the Prophet’s name. In Sudan a foreign English teacher spoked in a serie of words Mahomed near the name of a Teddy Bear. You don’t want to know the consequences: she was sentenced to eight years of prison. The good news is that she did not do any day of prison, but was necessarily to leave the country.
5. Try to respect under any circumstances the local greetings. In the Mediterranean countries even the strangers get a three times cheek kiss, while in New Zealand the local Maori are rubbing their noses, in what is called “hongi”
6.If you plan a beach vacations and dream about an uniform bronze, keep in mind that nudism is not allowed in the Muslim countries and U.S. Also, there are not allowed incomplete or too tiny bathing suits. There is not much fun on those beaches, I think.
Knowing and respecting all these rules is maybe the most educative thing during a travel. On the contrary,if you disregard all this travel etiquette, you risk to land on hot water and not enjoy completely your travel.
