So you’re going to Barcelona. Good for you. You are in for such a treat. You have chosen a cool Barcelona hotel. The people are wonderful. The landscape wonderful. The atmosphere full of passion and fun. There’s no better place in the world to visit if you’re looking for a little down time with a hint of fun.
But maybe you’re a little worried it will be a little too laid back. No worries. There are plenty of things to do in Barcelona if you don’t want to lounge around all day. One activity that will definitely keep you busy is shopping. Barcelona shopping offers so much opportunity. Designers, antiques, art. You name it, Barcelona has it.
But if you’re not a shopper, and not everyone is. So if you’re one of the people that prefers to spend your time doing rather than spending, you won’t be disappointed.
Barcelona is home to much history. So if you’re interested in seeing some beautiful, old world churches, then you won’t be disappointed. Just add to your list of things to do in Barcelona the Church of the Sacred Family and St. Mary of the Sea Cathedral. Both are a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Then, too, if you’re interested in museums, you might want to add Mila House to your list. The Gaudi architecture of the apartment building is definitely something any tourist should see. Of course, if ancient buildings is not your thing, then maybe art is.
One of the many things to do in Barcelona includes the Palace of the Catalan Music. This is a music hall that features orchestra, classic guitar and sometimes even flamenco performances. Wouldn’t a flamenco show add a little sizzle to your vacation? Sure it would. If you get a chance, you should definitely check it out. You won’t regret it. And, then, too, there are plenty of museums, including the Picasso Museum, parks and even a zoo if you’re interested.
In the end, it doesn’t matter what kinds of things you choose to do in Barcelona. There is so much to do and see that there couldn’t possibly be enough time for you to see it all. In fact, you’ll probably find yourself wishing to extend your vacation by a few weeks. Not to mention the beauty and the atmosphere will have you wishing you could stay forever.
Barcelona truly offers something fun for everyone. If you love art, you can waste away your days wandering through beautifully architectured buildings, art museums and art markets. If you love history, you can spend your days strolling through the historical churches that are as much a part of Barcelona as the modern shops and activities. If you are a person that loves the outdoors, there are plenty of parks that are great for lazing away an afternoon. No matter your age, your style or your vacation preference, you’ll be happy with choosing Barcelona as your vacation destination each and every time.

It’s been a while since I visited Barcelona, but there are so many fun things to do there. The Sagrada Familias church is amazing and the nearby Dali museum is always worth a visit. Nice roundup.
