What to Do on a Berlin Vacation

So you’ve decided to take that trip to Berlin. Good for you. Any idea what you’ll do while you’re there? Maybe you just figured you take in some historical sights. Maybe you’re fascinated with their history. And why not? Who wouldn’t be? And boy, does Berlin have a lot of history.

Taking a Berlin vacation will give you an up close and personal chance to see so many of the places you only read about. Not only that, but how many cities can honestly say they have overcome the past that they have? Not many. Berlin has not let its history rule its future. And the results are amazing.

Some of the fantastic sights to see while taking a Berlin vacation include taking tours of places such as the Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate, The Holocaust Memorial and more. The historical sights and museums honoring and remembering the past is extensive to say the least. But a Berlin vacation doesn’t just have to be a walk down history lane. Oh, no. There’s other things to do and see in Berlin. Some of it fun, some of it shocking, but all of it is memorable.

If you get tired of seeing the historical sights, you can always take in the gardens, the zoo or even the aquarium. Of course, they have the Laugh Olympics Berlin, which is a funny English improvisation. And if that’s not enough, check out the KitKat Club. This is a place that is rigidly guarded by the bouncers that work there. Not just anyone will get past these guys. And if you do, once you’re inside, you’ll understand why. The fashion there ranges from nothing to upscale, the decor is eclectic and the atmosphere is definitely uninhibited. So if you have a weak heart, this is not the place for you.

You don’t have to be a history buff to appreciate all that a Berlin vacation has to offer. While most of their sights are historical, even a person that has only a passing interest in history would enjoy seeing the attractions of Berlin. And, of course, the other attractions that Berlin has can offer a good laugh and some fresh air. If nothing else, you will leave Berlin feeling relaxed and having a new respect for the role they have played in the history of the world.

When planning your Berlin vacation, you might consider seeing some of these attractions on your own. If you only want to see them and spend a little time there, that might be fine. However, if you are interested in learning in depth about the sights you are visiting, then you might want to consider joining a tour. They can be fun, less stressful and they don’t all cost an arm and a leg.

By taking a Berlin vacation, you are bringing the past and the future together. It’s a beautiful, thriving city that has a lot to offer tourists of all ages.
