Peru has become a great destination for many tourists, and the good news is that luxury travel is on the up, with some excellent luxury options now available. Should it be hotels, train journey’s or something a little more exquisite we will guide you through everything you need to know to get the best Luxury Tour in Peru.

Let’s start with some of the hotels! You are going to probably first arrive into Lima the capital of Peru, but where are you going to stay? There are three hotels that warrant a closer look and they are the Orient Express Miraflores Park Hotel, the fantastic Country Club Hotel and the Delfines Hotel. The Miraflores Park hotel is probably the best of the three, with a great location in the up market Miraflores district, offering guests views of both the City and the Pacific Ocean. Within walking distance of the LarcoMar

entertainments complex and a short taxi ride to Parke Kennedy, there is a wide selection of restaurants and bars to keep you busy on the evening. The Country Club Hotel is a superb classically designed luxurious hotel in the San Isidro district, next to one of Lima’s premier golf courses. Cleverly designed to offer guests a comfortable and somehow a less business like feel to the stay. Across the road from the Country club is the stylish and modern Delfines Hotel. The name comes from the rather unique feature of the hotel. Yes this hotel actually has two dolphins located on an inner courtyard pool that is overlooked by the dining area. The Delfines Hotel is very much different to the other two hotels mentioned, as the design is super modern and cosmopolitan.

Moving onto the Cusco region, only a short one hour flight from Lima, you have another selection of fantastic hotels to choose from. The Monasterio Hotel has to be one of the most famous, located just 2 blocks from the main plaza, in a small plaza of its own. This hotel is steeped in history, and dates back 1952 when it was originally built as a monastery. Retaining all of its original charm, this modern day luxury hotel is one not to be missed. Across the plaza is another hotel from the fantastic Inkaterra group called ‘La Casona’. Considered to be a private house rather than hotel, this place really Is one of the best around. Each accommodation has been carefully created to offer guests supreme comfort, from the imported Italian linen, to the restored antique furniture mixed cleverly with modern furnishings. There are a few other hotels notable hotels in Cusco, but we shouldn’t forget that north from Cusco is the Sacred Valley of the Inca’s. Here you will find a plethora of other luxury hotels! Give us a call and we shall give you the details!

Stepping away from the hotels, did you know that there is a helicopter journey from Cusco? Which takes you for an over flight of the Sacred Valley, including the Inca ruins of Moray, Ollantaytambo, Chincheros and Pisac! The Large Sikorsky S-58ET helicopter which can hold up to 14 passengers can also be chartered to fly to other destinations in Peru, like Arequipa and Lima. Definitely an experience you’ll take about for years to come.

Then there are the trains!! Most people know about the Hiram Bingham Train to Machu Picchu, but did you know that there is another train called the Luxury Andean Explorer Train that takes the route from Cusco - Puno? Well now you do! Travel across the grand landscape of the Andes, through to the gentler rolling planes of the Altiplano, all the time with a cocktail in your hand! Contact us about the departures for this service, and make sure you add it to your itinerary.

For all the other luxury options, including hotels in Machu Picchu, Lake Titcaca, Arequipa and luxury Amazon Lodges give us a call. We are proud to offer expert advice and create an unforgettable tour to Peru.

Peru also has some exciting Amazonian jungles to visit. I flew to Iquitos and met a guide that took us deep into the jungle to stay for 5 days. It is something I will never forget, and would like to visit again.
