Rome. Isn’t that the city of lovers? Or maybe that’s Paris. It doesn’t really matter unless you want to go to the city of lovers and end up in the wrong place.
If you could go on a Rome vacation, what would you want to do? Is there any special sights you would want to take in on a Rome vacation? Or maybe stay or eat at someplace special if you went on a Rome vacation? This is something everyone thinks about (maybe). Really. When you ask people where they would love to go on a vacation, most answers are Hawaii, or Paris, or …taking a Rome vacation, that’s right. So if you want to take a Rome vacation, you must have given some thought as what you would want to do on that Rome vacation. Especially if you are only going to get one chance for a Rome vacation in your lifetime.
Some things that might be on your Rome vacation list might include seeing the Colosseum, or the Vatican Museums. A word to the wise about to take a Rome vacation. When you go to the Vatican Museums, they do have some rules and regulations that are strictly followed. When visiting the Vatican Museums on a Rome vacation, you must be appropriately dressed and show respect in the Sistine Chapel. Seeing this on a Rome vacation is a must do so don’t ruin it by being escorted out. Follow the rules. Oh, and if you really want to play it safe, just find a tour on your Rome vacation that will take you there. The added benefit of doing this is that you will probably learn so much more than if you do it on your own.
While on your Rome vacation if you have the opportunity to do so, you can take day trips to other cities. Some of the cities that would be close enough on your Rome vacation to visit would be Tivoli, Florence, Naples and even Pompeii. That would be a sight to see.
If you have seen all that you would like to see on your Rome vacation and would like to see something that’s kind of off-the-beaten path, you can venture to the Borghese Gardens from Piazza Popolo where you’ll find a little museum that is to die for. This alone will make your Rome vacation well worth it. It is called The Genius of Leonardo DaVinci.
One thing to take note of if you plan a Rome vacation would be the Rome cabs. They are not like regular cabs. On your Rome vacation they will take you from the airport to a hotel, but most of the cab drivers are tour guides and use the cab (which is most probably a Mercedes!) to give tours. Also, if you’d like to learn a little about the locals of Rome, you might check out the Museo Nazionale delle Arti e Tradizioni and the Termini Station on your Rome vacation.

I am visiting Rome with a friend again this year. We live in London, UK and have made annual visits for about a week in duration to Rome. This year we are going to Rome for nine days in just two days time, and we are so looking forward to it. We stay at the same hotel near Sant Angelo which is nice and central, basic but adequate, friendly and quite silent.
I always love to visit the borghese gardens every year, and when i was younger I would strip off to enhance my suntan.
The very atmosphere of the gardens is sensational and I just like to sit within the gardens and re-live all of my previous visits, and then make my way to visit the museum which is truly spectacular.
Lat year we missed out going to Tivoli but this year we will visit those wonderful garden with waterjets galore, truly wonderful.
If you are thinking of visiting Rome for a vacation you will not be sorry, the atmostphere exuded by that sublime city is so wonderful, and at the end of your vacation you can return to the USA or UK, or some other countries fully refreshed.
Good luck to you all, and I hope that you will have a very enjoyable year experiencing the delights that other countries will offer you, so that you will return home truly refreshed.
